Ok. Well. Hopefully, by now, you have imbibed some of that love and laughter in little things with your feisty spirit. By the way, are you making sure you brush your teeth twice a day? Cavities are your worst nightmare and you need to make sure you take care of those teeth. Always.
Also, apply sunscreen, every day, thrice a day!

You know when you were about three years old, you wouldn’t speak to people. You had this big block where you would just clam up. Other kids would keep yapping, be joyful and you were the quietest one in the corner. It was about the same time I started working from home. I remember that I would work the early morning hours and would get free by the time you came back from school. Slowly and steadily we made progress. I held your hand and took you to the park each day, till the time you found the courage to demand the swing vs ask or wait for it.
Believe in yourself and blossom
“It took me a while to bring you out of your shell. I am sorry it was a rough childhood. I was working full time and was away a lot. Your dad wasn’t much help. He was always busy with his own head and that is not your fault. "
My point of reminding you about this story is to tell you that you have always needed that little push. A little pump before you start trotting on your own, being the boss you are and owning it. For you, it has always been tougher before it got easier. To get you out of your shell, to get you to believe in yourself and blossom.
I know I am your biggest cheerleader. The first time you got on stage and were in the center, I cried. But that can’t or will not always be the case. You will not always be able to see me or talk to me. You will need to decide on your own what you need to do. You will need to fight your own battles, shatter your own glass ceilings, be your own cheerleader and it will not be easy.
Work your way through it
Dark thoughts will crouch in on you. You will think the world is out to get you and you cannot muster the strength to stand against it. Hold your ground anyway. Be loud, be vocal, be fair and honest, both to yourself and to others.
Work your way through it. Know that no matter where I am, however close or far away, I will always be your harshest critic and your strongest, loudest, most badass cheerleader. You just need to close your eyes and think. Ask yourself, “what would Mumma tell me at a time like this?” and you will find a solution to your problem or the courage to power through whatever life throws at you.
I will always be your roots
“It will always get tougher my love before it gets better and morphs into wonderful.”
It will always get tougher my love before it gets better and morphs into wonderful. Remember that even a butterfly has a painful transformation. Everyone made fun of Hermione until she was best friends with the “Chosen One”. It took Moana multiple attempts to return the heart of Te Fitti.
Hold on to your heart and you will find your way.
